Changes in response to Pandemic – COVID-19

Changes were put in place in response to the Pandemic COVID-19.

Patients that required face to face appointments are seen in accordance with PHE guidance (covid-19 policy retained on shared drive).

  • Increased provision of PPE
  • Appropriate use of masks, visors and aprons in accordance with PHE infection control guidance.
  • 10 minute gaps between patient visits to allow adequate time for clean down and to escort patients from the medical centre safely, this also helped to prevent patient build up in waiting areas, allowing reception to reduce footfall into the surgery at the same time and reduce risk to both patients and staff members.

Risk assessments

Risk assessments were carried out by Victoria Bhasin on 11/5/20 for the whole building – no actions were identified.
